How to Reveal What It Is You're Hiding From

I find that I am continuously peeling back the layers to reveal more and more of my truer self and this happened once again on quite a deep level as I found myself laying in shavasana the other day.

For many of us, we may find ourselves wrestling with this existential question of “Do I matter?” and what occurred to me after my revelation is that much of our mission here on earth, should we choose to accept it, is to peel back the various layers we have created to help prove to ourselves that we do.

And even though what revealed itself to me could be perceived as kind of heavy or dark, it didn’t feel that way at all. I think that is partly because I’ve been learning that this stuff doesn’t need to be so serious and I can have more fun with the discoveries I make along the way. And, I think partly it’s because I’ve already been peeling back these layers bit by bit so it isn’t as scary or alarming as it might have been once before.

My intention for sharing this with you is so you can witness the power a simple question can have when I want to call myself out a little and gently reveal where I tend to hide or avoid things. Plus, this revelation may spark something within you or serve as something to chew on for a few days.

In today’s video, you’ll learn what this question is and how you can use it to reveal your own truths.

"In order to reveal our deepest truths, we need to be willing to stop hiding them." {Tweet that!}

Once you’ve had a chance to watch the video, I’d love to hear from you.

What insights or revelations do you reveal when asking yourself this question?

Something I’m feeling quite strongly in this moment is that life is pretty fantastic. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t present to me challenges and other not-so-amazing moments but all-in-all, I really can’t complain. This to me is why I do what I do—to keep spreading this inspiration that life really is fantastic, should we choose to perceive it that way.

Con amor y gratitud,

P.S. If you weren’t able to make this month’s Being Inspired Seminar, I invite you to listen to the recording when you get a chance. You can listen to it here. I explored how to live more fully despite the fear and uncertainty that so many of us are all too familiar with. If you want to start saying “yes” to possibilities and stop saying "no" to life, I'd love to have you listen!
